For some reason we have a ton of tissue paper in the workshop, which naturally meant a Spell Book was in order!

Creating my very own spell binding Necronomicon, was a dream come true! Ever since Winifred called for her "BoooOOOooook" I have needed one to hold all my castings. I am thrilled to have a dedicated Spell Book for my ghoulish recipes.

I started with a journal notebook we found at Craft Warehouse. Took the tissue paper and layered with Modge Podge. I wanted to pronounce where my stitches were going to be, so I rolled small amounts and laid the ground work for my "stitching the skins together". I did same to hold the eye. Using a dremel wood burning tool I cut through an eyeball ping pong ball and hot glued my eye into the socket.

This book as taken a life of it's own and inspired a few more future workshop to boot. If you are interested in creating one for yourself? Just check out our future Workshops.

We had so much fun making Kitty masks and screen print Trick or Treat bags. This was a smaller venue then the past few, but it didn't make it any less of a crafty good time. Rachel and I worked on some ghoulish fairies during the down time. Although we didn't get a picture there was amazing tree trunk carving on site. It was super inspiring to watch as the artist just went at it with a chain saw. As we left this Pop Up, we realized how much more fun we had awaiting us back at the workshop for even more Halloween craftiness.

Oh my goodness, we were busy. 3 Make N Takes for this fabulous Oktoberfest. There were Magic Wands, Potion Bottle Necklaces, & Sand Art. All three were so we received! As you can see the kids had an absolute blast creating their own wands. Wish we had gotten some pictures of the different Potions that were made.

One really adorable customer about 3 years old, made not just her's but Grandma's and Mom's as well. From Pink Potion to Crocodile tears. We sure had fun using our imaginations and creativity.

And who doesn't remember Sand Art from our earlier years. This one was such a huge hit at The Big Foot Festival, we just had to repeat. And it didn't disappoint. This time we remembered out bamboo skewers for customers to arrange their sand. Each event we gain a handful of knowledge for the next show. I can't wait to see what the next show brings.

We will be in Salem, OR on Oct. 13th. Make N Take will be Botanical Pumpkins, Halloween Masks, Screen Print Trick or Treat Bags.
